Wait a second, is a snooty book critic actually admitting to judging books by their cover?Larry Correia
I know everyone says to not judge a book by their cover, but we just do. We are human and we one of the first senses we use is our sight. It’s not necessarily a bad thing! To me, a beautiful book cover just enhances the beautiful story inside; it also just provides beauty and another element to the book to treasure even more. I want to share with you my four favorite book covers.
~Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare
The first novel in a trilogy where evil hides in plain sight and love cuts deeper than any blade.
“That’s everyone’s dream, isn’t it, really? Instead of many who give you little pieces of themselves–one who gives you everything.”Cassandra Clare, Chain of Gold
~The Luxe Series by Anna Godbersen (4 Books Total)
Pretty girls in pretty dresses, partying until dawn, irresistable boys with mischevious smiles and dangerous intentions. White lies, dark secrets, and scandalous hookups. This is Manhatten, 1899.
“Heart stopping envy is the sincerest form of flattery.”Anna Godbersen, Luxe
~Ash Princess, Laura Sebastian (3 Books Total)
For ten years, the Ash Princess has seen her lands pillaged and her people enslaved. That all ends here.
“I was a princess made of ashes; there is nothing left of me to burn. Now it’s time for a queen to rise.”Laura Sebastian, Ash Princess
~Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare (3 Books Total)
In a time when Shadowhunters are barely winning the fight against the forces of darkness, one battle will change the course of history forever.
“For what was love, wasn’t it–to burn bright in someone else’s eyes?”Cassandra Clare, Clockwork Angel
